Annoying, Crappy Software

Right, I got an iPhone last night, and after dropping 300 quid on it, I cant really rant about it. It is an awesome bit of equipment… except for the fact I cant have customize ring tones, but that’s cool… actually, no it aint cool, its retarded!

So what’s my beef today? Crappy Software!!

As the wonderful iPhone doesn’t take SIM cards, I needed to import my contacts from Outlook to the iPhone. Well I didn’t have any contacts on Outlook… in fact I didn’t even have Outlook.

Outlook wasn’t a problem, I installed this from a CD I had laying around.

Next, I needed to get my contacts off my Sony Ericsson on to Outlook, so I had to download Sony PC Suite, what a load of crap that is. After the third attempt I finally got it working and it was able to download the drivers it needed.

I then plugged my iPhone into iTunes and was greeted with a nice message telling me that I needed more software to get the iPhone to work. So I tried downloading the latest iTunes.. And then I tried again… and then again… and then finally… it didn’t work. So I just plugged my iPhone back in and it worked. GRRRR

So now my iPhone is all up and running. But Sony crappy PC Suite is being gay and not allowing me to uninstall the sh*tty software.

Why must all Sony software be so sh*t, seriously, everything I have tried has never worked easily. Sonic Stage being a prime example.

Fair enough im using Vista, but its over a year old now, and these software makers need to pull there fingers out!!
